Some clothing stores in the Cau Giay District in Hanoi have offered discounts of 80 percent, but often these offers only apply to old stock. Meanwhile, no discounts are offered for new products.
Customer Nguyen My Linh said that it took her hours to buy a dress with a big discount. She also said shops often raised their prices and then halved them as a sales trick on Black Friday.
Nguyen Xuan Thanh from Hanoi said that he wanted to buy some clothes on Black Friday, but he couldn’t find any that he liked at the discount prices.
