Arte (Association Relative à la Télévision Européenne) is a television channel of culture and art.

Arte has invited Associate Professor Ha Dinh Duc, who has been researching the iconic turtle for several decades, to join an interview with them.

Mr. Duc says that Arte will interview him about the treatment process of the legendary turtle in 2011 and the plan to preserve the turtle in the future.

He says that this is a chance to tell international friends about the iconic turtle of Hanoi and Vietnam.

The film about the turtle is expected to be 45 minutes.

Last year the turtle was treated over three months in a tank. The animal was then released back to the Hoan Kiem Lake, with thousands of fish as its food.

Hanoi authorities and experts plan to give him periodical examinations.

Hanoi has carried out some measures to improve the living environment for the turtle.

Besides the historical and psychological values, the legendary turtle is considered one of the only four turtles of its species in the world, including two in Vietnam (another one at Hanoi’s Dong Mo Lake) and two in China.
