Between January and August, the country’s total electricity output reached 164.05 billion kWh, up 2.01% on-year. Among those, hydropower plants account for 39.03 billion kWh, down 12.75%; coal-fueled power plants with 88.87 billion kWh and renewable energy sources with 7.27 billion kWh.

During the eight-month period, EVN’s electricity output was estimated at 142.38 billion kWh, up 2.39% on-year. During this time, EVN’s electricity supply for industrial production activities grew by just 1.22% on-year, because of Covid-19.

However, EVN’s electricity support for households in the first eight months of the year still increased by 6.54% on-year, which is partially attributed to the prolonged hot weather.
