On the night of October 31, a 38-year-old man in District 7 drove a hearse, transporting seven others on Nguyen Hue Street in District 1. The seven people wore white and red-painted costumes and wrapped their heads with red bandages to pretend to be injured to celebrate Halloween.

However, the driver forgot to close the funeral car’s doors. Therefore, those onboard were partially outside the vehicle and were waving their arms and interacting with other people. This action was filmed and shared widely on social networks.
At the police station, the driver said he worked for a mortuary in District 7.
On Halloween, he was hired by a group of seven people to drive the hearse around Nguyen Hue Street.
The police have fined the eight people for inciting public unrest.
