Lam Dong Police Department announced on May 3 that they have arrested Kenter Jacobus Johansen, 63, of Dutch nationality after he killed his 53-year-old wife at their home in Ward 4, Dalat City.
According to the police, the man had a quarrel with his wife at 4 pm on May 2 and he suddenly attacked her with two knives until she died. The man then fled home. The wife's daughter found her mother dead with various injuries on her body and informed the police.
Kenter Jacobus Johansen was then arrested at 8.30 pm the same day at an ATM in the area. He told the police that he had a quarrel with his wife over her spending too much time using her mobile phone.
The man was married for 13 years and had lived in Dalat since.
Police are further investigating the case.
