Dozens of wild animals in HCM City have been released into the wild after being handed over by local residents.

Dozens of wild animals in HCM City have been released into the wild after being handed over by local residents.

The animals include white-bellied sea eagles, long-tailed macaques, Burmese pythons and civets. After being transferred from local households, they were taken care of at wild animal care centres.

On August 31, the HCM City Forest Protection Board and the Dong Nai Culture and Nature Reserve co-operated to free around 60 wild animals, including pythons, turtles and civets.

So far this year, over 300 wild animals of more than 20 species have been released in the Dong Nai Culture and Nature Reserve.
