According to local authorities, around 85 localities in the province are at risk of landslides, posing a danger to 1,100 households.
Tran Hoai Nam, deputy director of the provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, said landslides in the province were increasingly common and more serious.
To cope with landslides and other hazards caused by natural disasters, Quang Binh has established emergency response teams at village and commune levels.
