The Lam Dong Provincial Department of Animal Health announced on Wednesday that they are co-operating with concerned agencies and local farmers to investigate the deaths of many cows following vaccination in the districts of Duc Trong and Don Duong.
"Reports from farmers in the two districts showed that 68 milk cows have died and hundreds of others are facing health problems including coughs, foaming at the mouth, and anorexia after being given the vaccine against the Lumpy Skin Disease," the department said.

According to the department, between July 22 and 31, some 3,400 cows and buffalos, including over 2,900 milk cows in the area, were given the Navet-Lpvac vaccine against the Lumpy Skin Disease produced by the National Veterinary Joint Stock Company. Each animal was given a dose of 2cc of the vaccine.
