Hanoi Police raid Lucas Palace Club on October 15 and caught 16 people red-handed including some foreigners, gambling for stakes of over VND20 billion (USD824,000).


The spokesperson of the Ministry of Public Security, To An Xo, told Dantri on Sunday that Hanoi Police had raided Lucas Palace Club on Mac Thai To Street, Cau Giay District on October 15 and caught 16 people red-handed including some foreigners, gambling for stakes of over VND20 billion (USD824,000).

Expanding their investigation, the police arrested 11 others for organising the gambling activities in this club including Dao Anh Dung, 31, and Tran Xuan Minh, 33, who were managers.

According to the ring, Dung guided gamblers on the third floor, while Minh would direct those who wanted to play poker for entertainment on the second floor.

The club collected 5 percent of the total stakes.

Police are further investigating the case.
