DanTri/DTiNews readers have donated a total of around VND215.71 million (USD9,110) for a poor woman in the northern central province of Thanh Hoa who faced a very critical condition in the 32nd week of her pregnancy.
The donation has been granted to Han's family
Nguyen Thi Han, 38, from Yen Dinh District’s Dinh Long Commune, was diagnosed with pneumonia and septic shock. Doctors at Bach Mai Hospital in Hanoi had to conduct an urgent cesarean section to ensure the safety of her and her child.
Being born premature, the baby weighs just 1.3 kilos.
Han underwent a a three-week intensive treatment at Bach Mai Hospital
Han has experienced a three-week intensive treatment with the use of ventilators and dialysis. Han’s condition has improved and she is expected to be discharged from hospital soon.
However, her premature child will have to stay at Bach Mai Hospital for further monitoring.
Han works at a garment workshop near her house with a very modest income of VND3.8 million (USD161) per month. Meanwhile, her husband is also ailing, so Han is the family’s breadwinner.
