Temple Resort Danang, operated by Danang Coral Tourism and Trading Joint Stock Company and located in Son Tra District, has been found to have committed multiple environmental offences, including non-compliance with its permit, discharging wastewater in unauthorised areas, failing to hire a licensed unit for hazardous waste treatment, and dangerous improper waste storage that violated technical regulations.

The resort also breached food safety standards in its restaurant operations within the hotel.

Danang People’s Committee also instructed the company to quickly implement measures to address environmental pollution.

In mid-April 2025, residents and tourists reported a strong stench from wastewater pipes discharging directly into the sea at My Khe Beach in Son Tra District. The odour was traced to Temple Resort Danang. In response, city authorities launched an inspection and documented multiple violations.

Son Tra District’s authorities fined Danang Coral Tourism and Trading JSC VND 15 million for discharging untreated wastewater into the environment in 2010.  The company was also previously fined VND 40 million for construction-related violations.
