The Merperle Dalat Hotel in Dalat City.
The fine was given to the Khai Vy Company on October 18 by the Dalat City People's Committee who also asked the investor to stop the construction of the works which have no license.
The move came after a local inspection team found out that the investor had enlarged the hotel by over 4,400 square metres more than the approved design plan.
Khai Vy Company has been asked to contact local authorities to discuss a new design plan for the project and file for a new construction permit. If the new design plan is not approved within 90 days, the investor will have to remove the parts that contravene regulations.
According to the design plan, the Merperle Dalat project has a total area of over 11,759 square metres with 10 floors, two basements and 400 rooms on Hung Vuong Street in Ward 10. The five-star hotel project has a total investment of VND1 trillion.
