A representative from Dantri/Dtinews came to the Central Highlands Region General Hospital to visit and transfer VND 120,695,000 to Dang Thi Khen who was staying for breast cancer treatment.
The 48-year-old woman expressed her sincere thanks to Dantri and kind readers for their valuable support.
"Since my story was published in the newspaper, many people have called and visited to send their sympathy and money to me," Khen said. "I've also received over VND20 million in donations to my bank account. Thanks to the help from kind donors, I've been able to get hospital treatment and I'm feeling much better now. Thank you so much for your support."

Khen was diagnosed with breast cancer three years ago. However, she could not afford hospital treatment and only used some cheap herbal medicine which didn't help much.
Her health has badly deteriorated recently due to the growing tumour, making her unable to sleep properly. Her family could only buy her some painkillers.
Her eldest son has had to quit school to work at a local hair salon to help his father support the family. However, his modest income as an apprentice can only cover food and essential things for his two small brothers.
The donations came at a crucial time as people who had lent money to the family had threatened them, telling them that they would take their house if the family didn't repay the money soon.
