Da Lat rose prices sharply rise ahead of Valentine's Day

Rose prices in Da Lat City and Lac Duong District in the Central Highlands province of Lam Dong have sharply risen as Valentine's Day is nearing.

Each rose stem is sold for between VND3,500-7,000, depending on the variety. Among those, red roses are the most expensive.

Nguyen Van Hoa, a flower grower in Van Thanh Village, said that thanks to favourable weather conditions, the quality of flowers had improved.

Roses in Da Lat have also been brought to different localities, including Hanoi and HCM City. Da Lat City and Lac Duong District produce 120,000 stems per hectare.
