The work is among the province’s turtle conservation activities due to the high risk of their extinction.

A turtle hatchery in Con Dao
Since early this year, the national park has moved some 2,510 turtle broods to artificial hatcheries, including 1,580 successfully incubated batches. With this effort, as many as 122,867 baby turtles have been released into the sea during the period.
The national park has also co-operated with Con Dao Resort Ltd. Co. to implement a turtle conservation programme in the Dat Doc area. In the first nine months of this year, through the programme, up to 3,717 baby turtles were successfully hatched and released into the sea.
