The 18.7km, six-lane road runs from Tran Quoc Nghien Road in Ha Long City and ends at a T-junction near Km6 Quang Hanh Port in Cam Pha City.

The VND 2.29 trillion project plays a vital role in connecting, developing and expanding the two cities in the Ha Long and Bai Tu Long bays.

The roads run through many limestone karsts scattered along the way from Ha Long to Cam Pha.

There are some famous tourist sites along the road including Bai Tho Mountain, Quang Hanh Hot Spring Resort, Cua Ong Temple, and many beaches.

The road has a 235-metre-long tunnel.

It also runs through some beautiful mangroves.

Chairman of the Quang Ninh Provincial People’s Committee, Cao Tuong Huy, said the road will help ease traffic density on National Highway 18 and attract more tourists to the locality.
