This weather poses difficulties for local residents, particularly those who have to work outside.

At midday, many people are still working at Vinh Market. Most of them are porters so they have to depend on when goods are transported by vehicles.

Nguyen Van Binh, 52, a porter said that he feels much more tired these days when the weather is hotter. He and other porters at the market have to cover their entire bodies and constantly drink water to ease the heat.

After lunch, people rest in parks, including Nguyen Tat Thanh Park.

Some even take a nap on their vehicles.
Northern and central regions of Vietnam are facing a hot front.
According to the National Centre for Hydro-meteorological Forecasting, from the second half of May, the temperature in northern and central localities would be 0.5-1 degree centigrade higher than the same period of previous years.
