Celebrity Millennium docks at Chan May port

The Celebrity Millennium cruise ship carrying more than 2,000 foreign tourists docked at Chan May port in the central province of Thua Thien-Hue.

The Celebrity Millennium cruise ship carrying more than 2,000 foreign tourists docked at Chan May port in the central province of Thua Thien-Hue on December 18.

The tourists are scheduled to see ancient relics in Hue, Danang, Hoi An and My Son and other places of interest around town.

After that, the cruise ship will travel to UNESCO-recognised Ha Long Bay in the northern part of Vietnam and then leave for Hong Kong (China).

Celebrity Millennium, 294m long and 32m wide, has a carrying capacity of 91,000 tonnes, and can accommodate more than 2,000 passengers and 1,000 crew members.

So far, Chan May port has received 33 international cruise ships with a total of 38,688 passengers, mainly from China, Italy, Spain, the UK, the US, Canada and Australia.
