The incident occurred on Wednesday at a garage in Gia Thanh Commune, Gia Vien District.
According to police report, at around 3 pm on August 30, the Howo-branded truck was taken to the garage to repair a broken tyre by the driver who was yet to be identified.
While the driver and one of the mechanics were in the process of removing the tyre, it abruptly blew up, killing the two people on the spot.
The incident is under investigation.
