Workers discovered the device while installing a drainage line on DH609 Street and immediately alerted local authorities. Specialist teams later cordoned off the area to ensure the safety of residents and construction workers.

The Defence Zone 2 Command in Phu Loi Ward, together with the Tay Nam Ward military command under the Ho Chi Minh City High Command, inspected and secured the bomb on November 19.
Combat engineers examined the device, lifted it to the surface and transported it to a storage facility for disposal in accordance with regulations.
The entire operation was completed safely.
