The house where the incident happens
According to the provincial police, the incident occurred early Friday morning in Phan Thiet City. Some family members of the 37-year-old woman heard her making strangely loud laughs at around 2 am. They came in to find the baby boy dead on her bed with cuts on his neck. The woman also had some cuts on her wrist. She was rushed to hospital.
A knife was found in her room.
The family said that the woman had recently shown symptoms of depression.
Police are investigating the case.
