The seaside Binh Duong Hotel will be relocated to a new location.

"The hotel's investor has pledged to transfer the land to local authorities before June 30, 2025," the department said.

The coastal province is also planning to relocate the Hai Au and Hoang Yen seaside hotels in order to give more space to local public beaches in Quy Nhon City.

The reclaimed land will also be used for building seaside parks and other public facilities, the department added.

According to the Binh Dinh People's Committee, although the three hotels have been there for a long time and are familiar to many tourists, both authorities and many residents in Quy Nhon support moving them elsewhere to return the beach to the public.
