Bac Ninh People's Committee has asked state agencies to raise their guard and take precautions against Covid-19 in the next 15 days. Localities authorities and departments must build preventive plans and be ready to respond in emergencies. They must make sure to react quickly to prevent the outbreak from spreading.

The local Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control must have a quick-response team to patrol the area and detect unregistered residents and suspected cases to send them to quarantine areas and file medical declaration forms.

Violators will be reprimanded and given a warning until the end of August 11. Starting from August 12, people who do not wear face masks when going out will be fined VND100,000 (USD4.30) to VND300,000.

Bac Ninh People's Committee also asked the public to not hold unnecessary events with large crowds. If given permission, the organisers must make ensure all required regulations about taking body temperature and washing hands are followed.

The public was also asked to hold back from holding wedding and funeral ceremonies. Families that have weddings from August 10 to 25 were asked to not invite guests and only have a ceremony with family members alone.
