According to a proposal from Ninh Binh City People's Committee, the project will be built on the Sao Khe River at the junction of Le Thai To and Trang An streets in Tan Thanh Ward. It will be built following the model of the Veluwemeer Aqueduct in Holland.
The bridge would facilitate tourist boats from Ninh Binh City to Trang An Landscape Complex as well as add a beauty spot to the area, authorities said.
However, this project requires large capital and complicated techniques so the provincial people's committee have asked concerned departments to conduct careful study before the construction.
After the Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex became a world cultural and natural heritage in 2014, Ninh Binh province mapped out general urban planning for 2030 and a vision for 2050, ensuring harmony between the conservation and development of the core heritage area and its surroundings.
