Contestants at the Ms. Global Success Business 2023 pageant final held on May 9 in Ben Tre Province.
The contest was organised by Oriental Secrets Entertainment and Investment Corporation between March and May this year with categories including catwalk, ao dai and evening gowns performance.
Speaking at a regular meeting on June 15, head of the HCM City Department of Culture and Sports, Lam Ngo Hoang Anh, said that the company had violated Decree 38/2021 on Culture-Advertisement.
"We're working with relevant agencies to deal with similar cases," the official said. "One of them is the Miss and Mister Universe World International 2023 held in late May which is being investigated for punishment.”
Earlier this year, the organiser of the Miss International Queen Vietnam was also fined for the same violation.
