The workforce has increased by around 600 people since the beginning of June as contractors step up efforts to complete Component Project 3, which covers essential airport infrastructure.

ACV said it had asked contractors to deploy more workers and equipment while strengthening quality control and inspection teams to keep construction on schedule.
ACV launched a 180-day campaign earlier this month to speed up the project, prompting contractors to step up construction, mobilise more resources and strengthen coordination.
Priority is being given to critical works on the project's construction schedule, particularly those involving technical integration and direct support for the goal of completing the airport by the end of 2026.
Completed work under Component Project 3 has exceeded VND 65.6 trillion, or nearly 76 per cent of signed contract value, while progress on major construction packages reached over VND 56.3 trillion, equivalent to about 68 per cent of contract value.
ACV and Dong Nai Power Company recently switched on the airport's power supply system, a key milestone that will support construction, equipment installation, testing and technical operations.
The 12-package Component Project 3, the largest part of Long Thanh International Airport, has seen several works largely completed, while construction continues on the passenger terminal, runway and transport infrastructure.
The passenger terminal, the airport's most significant facility, has completed its main structural works and is now undergoing architectural finishing and equipment installation.
As the rainy season begins, ACV and contractors have prepared contingency plans to maintain construction progress despite adverse weather conditions.
The 5,000-hectare airport, being built in three phases in Dong Nai Province, is designed to serve 100 million passengers and five million tonnes of cargo annually upon full completion.
The first phase of Long Thanh International Airport is scheduled for completion by the end of this year, with commercial operations expected to begin in 2026.
