The Ho Chi Minh City High Command said on September 13 that search teams had uncovered 11 more sets of martyrs' remains along with seven groups of personal artefacts at Le Thi Rieng Park.
All of the remains were recovered from a newly identified burial trench first discovered on September 8.

During the latest excavation effort, authorities processed more than 300 cubic metres of soil and continued expanding the search area within the park.
To support the operation, the city military command deployed three excavators, dump trucks and transport vehicles to accelerate excavation and soil removal work.
Since July 6, search teams have recovered a total of 627 sets of soldiers' remains from eight mass grave sites identified within the park.
The Ho Chi Minh City High Command said the search operation would continue to expand in the coming days, with updated figures to be released as new discoveries are made.

The excavation is part of ongoing efforts to locate, identify and honour soldiers who died during wartime and were buried in previously undocumented mass graves.
The search and recovery operation at Le Thi Rieng Park was launched on July 6 following the conclusion of Deputy Prime Minister Pham Thi Thanh Tra at a workshop verifying information about a mass grave of martyrs in the area.
Earlier, based on witness accounts and historical records, the Ho Chi Minh City Command estimated that hundreds of martyrs killed during the 1968 Tet Offensive and Uprising may have been buried in Do Thanh - Chi Hoa cemetery, now Le Thi Rieng Park.
