100 young businessmen and women were honoured on August 9 in Hanoi for their outstanding talents.

The ceremony was held by the Vietnam Young Entrepreneurs Association, the Vietnam Youth Federation and Red Star Club. Head of the Communist Party of Vietnam’s Central Committee's Commission for Economic Affairs Vuong Dinh Hue and Vice President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Vu Trong Kim attended the ceremony.
Most notable among the awardees was Song Long Company director Vo Thi Tuyet Ha. Born in 1987, she led the Khanh Hoa-based company to various achievements in medical research and the production of environment-friendly bioproducts.
Vu Hong Quan, born in 1991, is CEO of My Quang Construction JSC. He took the position while the Vietnamese economy was suffering problems but led the company through the hardship.
Chief of Red Star Club, Vu Van Tien, said, "These 100 young entrepreneurs here generated revenue of nearly VND9 trillion in 2014, paid VND225bn in taxes, and provided jobs for 16,000 people."
The awards were held for the first time this year and are intended to inspire young business people.
