Singers, actors, models and beauty queens throughout the country will take photos for a charity photo book to raise funds for purchasing Tet gifts for 100 needy families in northern Vietnam.
This is the idea of Venus Modeling Company’s director Vu Khac Tiep. “I initially planed a meeting of Vietnamese artists at the year-end. But when I contacted them, many people told me that they wished to do something useful for the community on this occasion. The idea to make a photo book for charity had flashed,” Tiep said.
Portraits of 100 artists were shot within two months, with different styles. Among participants are beauty queens Giang My, Dieu Hoa, Mai Phuong Thuy, Diem Huong and famous artists like Chi Bao, Truong Ngoc Anh, Bao Son, Thanh Bach, Anh Tuan, Mai Thu Huyen, etc.
The book will be displayed and auctioned at a charity gala at HCM City’s Park Yatt Hotel on January 3, 2012.
Income raised from the gala will be presented to poor families in northern provinces.
