This year, the Lim Festival is held in Tien Du District from February 9 to 10, the 12th and 13th days of the first lunar month.
Despite the chilly temperatures, crowds came to the festival from early Sunday morning.
On Sunday evening, visitors packed around Van Tuong Lake to enjoy the melodic tunes of Quan Ho folk songs and a dazzling fireworks display.
Visitors were delighted to witness the stunning 15-minute fireworks display.
Children were also brought to the festival.
Authorities in Tien Du District deployed 400 police officers, military personnel, and militia members to 17 security checkpoints during the festival to maintain public order and ensure traffic safety.
Tien Du District is seeking recognition of the Lim Festival as a national festival.
