The provincial Command of the Border Guard said that the men were caught red-handed on October 7 when transporting the crystal meth in a car from the Cambodian border to HCM City.
According to the initial information, on October 6, Suong was hired by an unidentified man from Cambodia to carry the drugs.
At around 1:50 am on October 7, Suong told Thuong to support him. As they were going through Long Thuan Commune, Ben Cau District, they were arrested by the police and border guards.
The police then detained Dao Tran Anh Khoa, 20, in HCM City, who was supposed to receive the drugs for sale.
The Command of the Border Guard in Tay Ninh Province reported that this is the largest haul of drugs ever discovered in the locality.
