On Sunday afternoon, thousands of people flocked to the beach to swim.
Luu Van Nam whose house is around 15 kilometres from Sam Son Beach said that he took his wife and children to the beach to relax but food stalls and other services have not yet opened.
Sam Son City Chairman Le Van Tu said the city planned to hold events for this summer’s sea festival.
The canoe service attracts tourists
According to the plan, the Sam Son Sea Tourism Festival will include the Love Festival in April, the Children's Swimming Competition in May, and the Chung and Giay Cake Festival in June.
The province will also organise activities such as table tennis, badminton and golf tournaments, Thanh Hoa speciality festival and a festival for ethnic minorities.
During this year’s Sam Son Beach Tourism Festival, the city will inaugurate the Sam Son Beach Square area, including a modern water park with various games.
