The bus was stopped by the police at around 11.25 am on April 30 on Au Co Road in Yen Bai City.

The vehicle held 67 passengers, along with one driver and one attendant, surpassing the 29-person capacity.
The 52-year-old driver from the northern province of Hai Duong when stopped, grabbed back all his vehicle documents, closed the door, and started the engine. After being strongly spoken to by the police, the driver eventually complied with the inspection.
Under Decree 168 which took effect in January this year, the driver and the bus operator face a fine of VND194.4 million for the violations.
