Largest terra-cotta park inaugurated in Quang Nam

Thanh Ha Park, the country’s largest terra cotta park in the ancient town of Hoi An in Quang Nam Province, has been put into operation.

The project which was developed by the People’s Committee of Hoi An City and Nha Viet Corp. covers an area of 6,000 square meters and costs nearly VND20 billion.

There visitors can see a museum of traditional craft villages. This is also a place for exchanges between craft villages, brainstorming camps for artisans, and displays of diversified pottery products towards the sustainable development of craft villages.

There are five areas at the site, including a museum of pottery products and artifacts, and an outdoor exhibition area of miniature World Heritage-listed sites in Vietnam, including Hue Imperial Citadel, My Son Sanctuary and Hoi An. 

The models of the Champs Elysees, the pyramid, the Colosseum, and the Parthenon temple can also be found at the park.

Construction on the park started in 2011. According to Roby Bellemans, executive director of the park,  the park will put on many activities for children and young people.
