This morning, January 30, the second day of the Lunar New Year, southern localities recorded temperatures ranging from 19 to 22 degrees Celsius. The lowest temperature in HCM City was 19-20 degrees Celsius.
On Thursday morning, temperatures dropped to around 19 degrees Celsius in some localities in the Southeastern region, such as Ta Lai and Dinh Quan in Dong Nai.
According to the Southern Regional Hydro-Meteorological Centre, the southern region will continue experiencing cold weather over the next 24-48 hours before gradually warming up.
The cold air mass will shift eastward and weaken in the next 10 days. However, cold weather is expected to return around February 2-3.
