According to the Son Tra Peninsula and Danang Tourist Beaches Management Board, its beach order management team helped recover the bracelet after receiving a request for assistance at about 4 pm Wednesday.
Phan Thanh Trinh, a member of the team who led the search, said he used a metal detector to locate the bracelet after identifying the area where it had been lost. Large waves and shifting sand, however, made the search difficult.
After more than an hour, a wave exposed the bracelet on the sand, allowing it to be recovered.
The owner, Chu Thi Mai from Nghe An Province, said she had unknowingly lost the bracelet while swimming. She and her family only realised it had slipped off after reviewing a video they had recorded and immediately sought help.
"The bracelet was a gift from my husband and means a great deal to me. I thought it was impossible to find again in the sea," Mai added.
She noted said the bracelet weighed about three taels of gold. After it was returned, she repeatedly offered a reward, but the officers declined.
"I was truly touched by the kindness and professionalism of everyone here. They said it was simply their responsibility," she said.
The Danang beach order management team has helped residents and tourists recover numerous lost valuables, including mobile phones and jewellery, in recent years.
