Under the plan, fireworks will be held during major holidays and events, alongside regular shows designed to create a vibrant atmosphere and draw both domestic and international tourists.

All displays will take place at Trong Doi Tam Square, located within the SunUrban City urban area, the sole designated venue. The shows will feature both high- and low-altitude fireworks combined with large-scale light displays.
Fireworks are scheduled for two evenings each week between 9 pm and 10 pm, with each show lasting no more than 15 minutes. The programme is expected to use about 150,000 high-altitude shells and 120,000 low-altitude fireworks, alongside additional pyrotechnic effects.
With the regular schedule, Ninh Binh aims to position itself as a key weekend entertainment destination during the peak summer season, encouraging longer stays and higher visitor spending.
The initiative will be fully funded by private sources, without drawing on the state budget, in line with efforts to mobilise non-public investment for tourism and service development.
Local authorities will coordinate with military and police forces to ensure safety, with measures covering security, traffic management and fire prevention.
