Popular activities in the province's eastern coastal area, formerly part of Binh Thuan Province, include jet skiing, kiteboarding, canoeing, flyboarding, scuba diving, free diving and all-terrain vehicle tours on sand dunes.
While such activities have helped attract more visitors, officials warned they also carry significant safety risks if not properly managed.

The provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism has urged local authorities, businesses and tourism operators to strengthen safety measures for activities that could pose risks to visitors' health and lives.
Authorities said inspections had found some operators had yet to fully comply with business licensing and safety requirements despite previous guidance.
Local administrations have been instructed to strengthen oversight of operating areas, warning signs, boundary markers, rescue plans and other safety measures, while ensuring activities comply with relevant regulations.
Tourist sites have also been ordered to review high-risk activities under their management, with services failing to meet safety standards or operating outside licensed areas facing suspension.
Travel companies and service providers have been told to ensure they meet all requirements relating to personnel, equipment, facilities and legal documentation before organising activities.
Officials said stricter oversight would help reduce risks, improve service quality and support the sustainable development of tourism in the province.
