Nguyen Thi Khanh, Chairwoman of the HCM City Tourism Association, said the festival will offer the public a vibrant culinary and cultural space, honouring both traditional values and modern creativity in Vietnamese cuisine.

Nguyen Thi Khanh, Chairwoman of the HCM City Tourism Association, speaks at a press conference held in HCM City about the festival on August 22.
“The festival is expected to become a cultural and culinary highlight of the city. It will not only showcase unique dishes made from rice noodles but also recreate immersive spaces that blend tradition with modernity. The event is projected to attract around 100,000 visitors,” Khanh added.
According to the association, the free event will be held on October 16-19 at Park 23/9 in Ben Thanh Ward. This is the first time the city has organised a food festival dedicated exclusively to rice noodles.
The event will showcase iconic noodle dishes from across Vietnam, including Hanoi's bun cha, Haiphong's bun ca ro dong, bun bo Hue, bun rieu, Can Tho’s bun mam, Nha Trang’s bun ca, and Soc Trang’s bun nuoc leo. Visitors can also enjoy other rice-based specialities such as pho, hu tieu, banh hoi, and banh tam.
The HCM City Tourism Association is working with the HCM City Food Safety Department to ensure vendors meet all requirements, follow hygiene regulations, and undergo on-site checks during the four-day event. Stalls will also clearly post their prices.
