This is the city’s fifth site using the lighting system under the lighting co-operation programme between HCM City and the French city of Lyon after Nha Rong Wharf, HCM City People’s Committee's headquarters, Municipal Theatre and HCM City Post Office.

The decoration is expected to attract more visitors to the museum.
At the launching ceremony, Le Thanh Liem, vice chairman of the municipal people’s committee, said that the work has once again proved the good relationship between the two cities. The co-operation programme is hoped to cover more works in the city.
The energy-saving system has a total investment of VND4.5 billion (USD204,545) with VND3.5 billion funded by the French side.
The work has been finished after one-month implementation with the technical supervision from French experts.
