In a directive, the Hanoi Department of Tourism instructed attractions, hotels, restaurants and retailers to prepare for peak demand by improving service quality, diversifying offerings and complying with safety, hygiene and fire regulations.

Businesses are required to publicly display prices, charge accordingly and avoid overpricing, while enhancing staff professionalism and setting up hotlines to handle complaints. Accommodation and food service providers have also been urged to upgrade facilities and ensure stable, safe supply chains.
Travel companies must develop high quality tour programmes in line with the Law on Tourism 2017, while transport operators are required to ensure vehicle safety and properly licensed drivers.
The directive also promotes environmental protection and green tourism development, alongside participation in the 2026 National Week for Clean Water and Environmental Sanitation.
Tourism operators must report visitor numbers and occupancy rates during the holiday period to support monitoring, with authorities aiming to safeguard service standards and reinforce Hanoi’s image as a safe and attractive destination.
Separately, city agencies have been ordered to clean and maintain infrastructure, including bridges, underpasses and tunnels, remove waste and illegal advertising, and clear drainage systems.
Enforcement forces will increase patrols and coordinate with local authorities to prevent encroachment on traffic safety corridors, particularly around major routes, flyovers and underpasses.
