Dragon and lion dance groups performed around Hoan Kiem Lake to celebrate the finishing of the Hanoi Party Committee's 16th Congress which ended on November 3.
About 100 performers from six groups have come from throughout Hanoi and a group from Bac Ninh Province livened up the city with their bright costumes and performances.
After the performances by Ly Thai To Statue, the groups paraded around Hoan Kiem Lake punctuated by impromptu stops for short performances.
The 16th Congress of the capital’s Communist Party concluded after three days, electing a 74-member committee for the 2015-2020 tenure and 57 official delegates for the 12th National Congress.
