>> Country\'s leaders commemorate Hung Kings
A solemn ceremony to offer incense was held at the Hung Kings’ Temple Relic Complex in Phu Tho Province this morning, April 12.
The ceremony was attended by Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Thien Nhan, leaders from ministries and agencies along with thousands of people.
So many visitors come for the ceremony at the Hung Kings’ Temple Relic, that the route to Nghia Linh Mountain has become crowded.
The festival started with an incense-burning ceremony to Lac Long Quan and Au Co, the legendary parents of the nation, and the Hung Kings, the first rulers of Vietnam.
Many cultural activities are being held, including a book exhibition named “Back to the Origin”, Xoan Village’s music show and a traditional music performance of nearly 1,000 amateur artists in Phu Tho.
Delegates from the provinces of Tuyen Quang, Hoa Binh, Nam Dinh and Dong Thap represent the three regions of north, central and south to attend this year’s Hung Kings’ festival.
