BIGBANG confirms two Hanoi concerts on 2026 world tour

South Korean music icons BIGBANG have confirmed two concerts in Hanoi this October as part of their 2026 World Tour, delighting K-pop fans across Vietnam.

On June 11, YG Entertainment announced the official schedule for BIGBANG's global tour marking the group's 20th anniversary.

According to the itinerary, Hanoi will be one of the tour's key stops, with performances scheduled at the My Dinh National Stadium on October 24 and October 25. The concerts form part of a world tour spanning multiple countries and regions across Asia and Europe.

The tour is set to begin in Goyang, South Korea, on August 21 before travelling through a series of international destinations. The final performance is scheduled for February 28, 2027.

The announcement triggered an immediate reaction on social media, with Vietnamese K-pop communities celebrating the group's return. Many fans said the concerts would provide a rare opportunity to experience a full BIGBANG stadium production as part of a global tour.

Rumours that Hanoi could be included on the tour had circulated among fan communities for months. However, excitement intensified after the official confirmation from YG Entertainment.

In April, BIGBANG unveiled promotional material for the 2026 World Tour, which commemorates two decades since the group's debut. The tour is widely regarded as one of the most anticipated K-pop events of the year.

The touring line-up is expected to feature three members: G-Dragon, Taeyang and Daesung. Their reunion follows years of individual activities and has been welcomed by fans worldwide.

Industry observers say Vietnam's inclusion reflects the country's growing importance in the regional live entertainment market. Vietnam has become one of Southeast Asia's fastest-growing music markets, supported by a large K-pop fan base and strong ticket demand.

Several leading Korean acts have performed in Vietnam in recent years. In 2023, BLACKPINK attracted nearly 70,000 spectators across two nights at My Dinh National Stadium, creating one of the country's most significant international music events.

G-Dragon has also developed a strong following in Vietnam. His recent appearances in Hanoi drew tens of thousands of fans and reinforced his popularity among local audiences.

Debuting in 2006 under YG Entertainment, BIGBANG originally consisted of five members: G-Dragon, T.O.P, Taeyang, Daesung and Seungri. The group became one of the defining acts of the second generation of K-pop through a distinctive blend of pop, hip-hop, R&B and electronic music.

Over two decades, BIGBANG has produced a string of influential hits, including Haru Haru, Fantastic Baby, Bang Bang Bang and Loser. Beyond commercial success, the group's music played a major role in expanding the global reach of the Korean Wave.

With Hanoi now officially included on the 2026 World Tour schedule, BIGBANG is expected to deliver one of Vietnam's most high-profile international music events of the year, answering years of anticipation from local fans.
