Vung Tau Sea and island festival to be held
The Vietnam Sea and Island Festival 2024 is scheduled to be organised in Vung Tau City in the southern province of Ba Ria-Vung Tau.
The event will take place at the square on Quang Trung Street from May 23-26.
Tran Dinh Khoa, party secretary of Vung Tau City told a Friday conference on the event that tourism development will be among key priorities of the locality.
According to the conference, the Vietnam Sea and Island Festival will feature sports activities, art performances, parades, a food fair and art exhibitions. One of the highlights of the festival will be an art show on May 25 evening with the participation of nearly 700 artists.
The organising board will arrange 200 food stalls and 100 booths featuring local products.
This year's festival aims to establish a model for an annual sea and island festival to be held among coastal localities nationwide.
