The South Korean-designed centre consists of three buildings which host 2,000 beds. It has 50 operating rooms.
The laboratory uses a conveyor compressed air belt system for the testing sample transportation. The system can also carry medicines and medical tools weighing 3-5 kilos.
The hospital was presented with the title Hero of the People's Armed Forces at the ceremony.
Hospital 108 is one of five nationally-ranked special hospitals. It serves 4,000-5,000 people who come for medical check-ups per day. In the first nine months of this year, the hospital provided examinations and treatment for nearly one million patients.
