Many people still attended a velvet and silk fashion show at Dien Hong Garden, despite the rain in Hanoi on the second day of the Italy-Vietnam Fashion Week.

Italian ambassador in Vietnam Cecilia Piccioni said each event of the fashion week aimed to bring more cultural and economic values to both countries.

Designer Michele Gaudiomonte also said the details on the costumes showed the traditional craft values of Vietnam which were a precious resource to develop the fashion industry.

Designer Bianco Levrin opened the show with a collection of silk and velvet, showing off the elegance and luxury of the women. Xuan Hao likes modern denim designs and introduced some impressive bags made from cotton and velvet.

Meanwhile, designer Chu La's bold and colourful collection impressed the audience with a horse-shaped headpiece which is often used as a votive offering.
