Fashion designer Minh Hanh will hold her Breathing Through Vietnam’s Mountain Forests runway show in France soon.

The show will be organised at Albert Kahn Paris on September 22 at the invitation of Hauts De Seine region's authorities. The programme is also aimed to celebrate the successful visit by French President to Vietnam on September 5-7.

The Albert Kahn Museum was built in the 18th century, featuring famous gardens in French and Japanese design. To date, only the Hermes fashion brand have hosted shows at the museum.

Some Vietnamese ethnic minority women will be invited to join the performance along with Vietnamese and French models.

Minh Hanh was presented with a chevalier de arts et lettres medal by the French government in 2006 for her contribution to promoting Franco-Vietnamese cultural co-operation, particularly in fashion, in June. She is the first Vietnamese designer who was conferred this medal.

In 2015, she also received Japan's Fukuoka Prize. The prize was launched in 1990 to award those who have made outstanding contributions to academia, arts, and culture in Asia while presenting to the world the diversity and the distinctiveness of Asian culture.
