Singer My Tam, who dominated the Mai Vang music award for several years, fell from this year’s top ten to be replaced by Ho Ngoc Ha.

In addition to Ho Ngoc Ha, singers in the top-ten list included Minh Hang, Dam Vinh Hung, Cam Ly, Thanh Thuy, Noo Phuoc Thinh, Ha Anh Tuan, Duong Trieu Vu, Thu Thuy, and Uyen Trang.
Among those selected, three will be awarded the highest prize for light music, folk music and ‘red’ patriotic music.
The 17th awarding ceremony for Mai Vang music award will be organised in HCM City on January 14 and will be lively broadcasted on HTV9 channel.
After the awards ceremony, a Mai Vang gala programme will be held in HCM City’s Tan Binh District on January 16 to serve over 30,000 workers in Tan Tao District on the occasion of the Tet holiday.
