Pageant expert Jonas Gaffud and Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach from the Philippines will attend the inauguration ceremony for Vietnam's first training centre for beauty queens in Ho Chi Minh City on April 14.
According to Elite Vietnam, they have been sending Vietnamese representatives to international beauty contests for the past 16 years but Vietnam's rankings have not improved much.
We see that some neighbouring countries including Thailand and the Philippines have seen continuous success at Miss World and Miss Universe contests in recent years thanks to their co-operation with well-known beauty-queen training centres from Venezuela, Colombia and India, so we are confident that Vietnamese women can also archive higher results if they get better training, the company said.
Elite Vietnam reveals that their facility will be supported by leading experts including Jonas Gaffud who has helped the Philippines to conquer top places at five prestigious international beauty contests since 2010 including Miss Universe 2015; Miss World 2013; Miss World's runner-up in 2011 and 2016; Miss Supranational 2013; and Miss International 2013 and 2016.
Jonas Gaffud will come to attend the inauguration ceremony for Vietnam's first training centre for beauty queens in Ho Chi Minh City on April 14.
The ceremony will also welcome Miss World 2013 Megan Lynn Young and Miss Universe 2015 Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach according to Elite Vietnam.
